THE BATH by Jean-Luc Lagarce
The Bath is a moment of well-being, a love story, a reunion where the protagonists loved each other; a moment of immense happiness where everything seems to happen at the same time. The one who tells the story, finds G. dying, for a weekend in Paris and before returning to Berlin. There, they go to the cinema, to the restaurant, have sex and take a bath; and as soon as the weekend is over, he realized that this bath was the greatest happiness he had been given with the despair of impending death and the separation, still to come.
The words of the one who tells, transport towards the memory; suddenly reappears what has been lost with the physical feeling of what it was. The word becomes a wandering between what was and what is, between before and today, between extreme happiness and its memory. It was this idea of wandering that had to be transcribed.
